I served as Generalist Supervisor (alongside the talented Fabrizio Fioretti) for ILM on Project Hail Mary, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller.
With Fabrizio focused on art direction I was the technical backbone of the gen crew. I built & taught a series of modular workflows in Houdini Solaris that allowed the small crew, many of whom were new to Solaris and had varying levels of Houdini experience, to confidently author dozens of shots and iterations. In addition to running my own shots, I also contributed to the look development of planet Adrian and got to creatively own and execute the cloud filled “space fishing” sequence.
